What is the Propane Energy Pod?

What is the Propane Energy Pod?  The Propane Energy Pod is a home energy package that delivers superior comfort and efficiency compared with all-electric homes.  It combines space heating, water heating, cooking, clothes drying and fireplaces – into an integrated, whole-home energy package.

This comprehensive, research-based approach will maximize efficiency, performance, comfort and carbon reduction. Using high-efficiency propane gas appliances for major applications provide optimal energy performance unmatched by alternatives.

Space Heating

Cost-efficient heating with a more comfortable and consistent warmth.  Propane provides more versatility, affordability, and comfort than any other heating choice.

Heating systems can be configured as a central or zone, forced air or radiant.  Propane can helps builders and homeowners cut energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions – up to 68% (according to buildwithpropane.com)

Water Heating

Faster hot water with up to 50 percent cost savings compared with electric options.  By choosing propane water heaters, builders and homeowners can significantly reduce energy costs.

The Department of Energy estimates that approximately 20% of home heating costs are spent heating water. Selecting an efficient water heater is critical – and propane fuels some of the most efficient tankless water heating technologies available.

Cooking

The joy and control of cooking with gas, just like the professionals do!

From precise heat control to smaller energy bills, propane cooking equipment is the perfect ingredient for professional home cooks!  In addition, propane gives homeowners ample cooking performance and precise temperature control in a wide variety of product designs.

Clothes Drying

Faster drying for up to 20% reduced energy use!  Propane gas dryers offer efficient, convenient and quick laundry solutions. Compared to electric dryers, propane dryers dry clothes faster and more efficiently.

Hotter air is produced with more moisture than electric dryers, which helps relax wrinkles. Moisture sensors prevent over drying of clothes, which saves additional energy.

Propane dryers also offer the latest innovations such as steam cycles to de-wrinkle, drum lights and LCD control settings.

Fireplaces

Significantly warmer and more energy efficient than electric or wood fireplaces.  They provide both comfort and ambiance, along with high-efficiency heating for homes, buildings and outdoor spaces.

Propane fireplaces are also very versatile. They can be used for indoor or outdoor use, easier to install, more energy efficient, environmentally friendly and convenient to use than wood-burning stoves.

They can be easily turned on and off with a thermostatic switch or remote control, and many models can operate during a power outage, providing critical home heating.

Propane fireplaces deliver 5 to 6 times heating capacity of electric fireplaces.

Pod PLUS

The five applications of the Propane Energy Pod are core to the home’s energy savings and low-emissions profile.  But adding appliances to the outdoors can add to the home’s overall comfort and resale value – items such as outdoor grills and generators!

View case studies that show how the Propane Energy POD can help both builders and homeowner save!
